Meet the Owners
Flourish Design & Decor was born when two Topeka-area venue owners—Tricia of Cedar Lawn Farm and Shelby of Beacon Events —decided to turn their shared passion into something bigger. They were each offering decor at their own venues. But when they joined forces? The vision grew brighter.
That collaboration became Flourish—a full-service event design and decor business bringing style and ease not only to Cedar Lawn Farm and The Beacon, but to celebrations all across the region. With an eye for detail and a flair for the extraordinary, Flourish transforms events into experiences worth talking about.

Tricia, a proud Kansas native, has traveled extensively across the United States but always returns to her beloved home state. Now, she shares her life with her husband, Jim, and their three charming cats: Topaz, Sweet Dee, and Swayze.
As the co-owner of Cedar Lawn Farm wedding venue, Tricia thrives on the excitement of managing the venue and orchestrating timelines. Yet, her true passion lies in transforming her clients' visions into reality. She believes that the heart of wedding design is the relationships she builds with her clients, ensuring their unique personalities and styles are beautifully reflected in every detail of their special day.

Shelby, a Kansas native, is happily married to Nic and is the proud mother of two wonderful children, Kevan and their newest addition, Archer, who joined the family in summer 2025. They share their home with two labrador retrievers - Jet and Nacho. With a strong background in graphic design, Shelby has a passion for floral and decor that truly enhances any occasion.
As the co-owner of The Beacon, she brings years of experience in design, decor, and event planning to the table. Her keen eye for detail ensures that every element of your special day is thoughtfully crafted. Specializing in floral design, Shelby creates stunning arrangements that are uniquely tailored to reflect your personality. With her exceptional listening skills, she takes the time to understand your vision, ensuring that your celebration is a true reflection of you.

However, if you have urgent questions requiring immediate answers, please don’t hesitate to call during weekdays. Because we work in the wedding industry, our weekend response time may be delayed.
